Juicy pan-seared chicken thighs in a rich garlic butter sauce, ready in about 30 minutes — a comforting main dish the whole family will ask for again.

Ingredients
- 8 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 1 teaspoons salt
- 0.5 teaspoons black pepper
- 1 teaspoons paprika
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 0.8 cups chicken broth
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 1 fresh thyme sprigs
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Steps
1 Season the chicken: Pat the 8 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs dry with paper towels, then season both sides with 1 teaspoons salt, 0.5 teaspoons black pepper, and 1 teaspoons paprika.
2 Sear the chicken: Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place the chicken skin-side down and sear without moving it until deep golden and crisp, about 6m 40s 06:40
.3 Flip and finish cooking: Flip the chicken and cook the other side until golden and cooked through, about 6m 40s 06:40
more. Remove the chicken to a plate.
4 Sauté the garlic: In the same skillet, lower the heat and add 4 garlic cloves, minced. Cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds 00:30
, being careful not to let it burn.
5 Make the garlic butter sauce: Stir in 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, 0.8 cups chicken broth, 1 lemon, juiced, and 1 fresh thyme sprigs. Scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan and let the sauce simmer until slightly thickened.
6 Combine and simmer: Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top. Simmer together for a couple more minutes to let the flavors meld.
7 Serve: Garnish with 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish and serve warm with the sauce spooned over the chicken.
